Where have people found to be the best places to find link exchange partners for high pr sites?
I have used the digital point forum which is allright. I have also posted on the link exchange forum on this site but have got very few interested prospective partners. Are there any other forums, sites or services to find potential 3 way link exchange partners for high pr sites?

Sorry no idea about this because after Penguin update I have stopped doing link exchange as it can harm my website.

Instead of doing link exchange, I do guest blogging, blog commenting to get natural backlinks.

there are a lot of responses saying link exchanges are dead or dangerous after penguin. Out of interest what type of link building do you guys do that is safe and works?
When I refer to link exchanges i am talking about doing 3 way link exchanges with relevant sites and getting incontent links in relevant content. Obviously everything has to be done in moderation but I do not see what is wrong with a limited number of relevant link exchanges with quality sites.

You can try guest posting and blog commenting. These two strategies can help you obtain high quality links. Forum posting is another viable option.

I've just been approached by a webmaster of a site in exactly the same niche as mine, wanting to exchange articles (in effect, guest blogging for each other) with link back to our respective site. I know that people have been saying that link exchanges are not good in this post-penguin world, but what do you think of this (guest blogging) scenario? I'd appreciate some comments on this, thanks.

Sad to say Shane but you can safely ignore almost every post in this thread because most of them have no idea what they are talking about. Link exchanges done right are INDISTINGUISHABLE from natural links. What boggles the mind is that you specifically cited three way link exchanges but people always act like all link exchanges are reciprocal or two way.

Parallel link exchanges are great but it means you have to find partners that have more than one site. You link to say their site A and then they link to you from their site B. NO footprint, no way of knowing its unnatural (just requires a little creativity in the article you link from) and very effective post penguin, post Panda, Post Zebra or Post Elephant

Spot on! It's the only way I build reciprocal links, never had any problems with this method.

Exchanging links still work but you need to make it look natural and only exchange links to reputable sites.

Scared to do any link exchanges anymore. I do with a few directories relevant to my industry, and that's it.
