Hello everyone.

Just recently I've created a site that is going to cost me more than the average hosting/month due to it being hosted on a VPS.

In order to pay for this, I'd like to know some alternatives to Adsense to post ads on my site.

Thank you.

I don't know if, by adsense, you are referring to the Google adsense program or what. However, you should know that it's not the only adsense program available to you. If you're still considering adsense, you might want to check out Bidvertiser. The cool thing about it is that the payout is much lower than with Google adsense (only need to earn $10 to be paid).

    There are a few options:

    1) Chitika
    2) Infolinks
    3) Kontera
    4) BuySellAds.com

You can also sell your own ebook, giveaway a free item to build a list or both.

Not many PPC programs are paying as high as Adsense and have ads show every single minute.. I suggest you to find individuals and sell them ad space, you will make more profit.

Why not adsense? It's the best PPC program there is. Personally I would go to banner ads with an affiliate program.

Also, how new is your site? What is your site about/for? Monetizing your site with ads too early is a good way to drive traffic away.

When it comes to ads on your website, it's all about traffic. It's pretty much a waste of time until you get a decent amount of traffiic every month. Which in turn you will lose followers if you have a bunch of ads all over your site.

      1. Build your site.
      2. Build a following
      3. Build a decent amount of traffic everymonth
      4. Then, SLOWLY monetize your site with ads.

Trust me from my experience. I built hundreds of sites and plastered them with ads that never made me any money because I went about it the wrong way.

I have great success with Max Bounty, but you have to have a referrer before you can get in...pm me if anyone is interested in getting accepted.

They are a CPA site that I get great results from every day.

    On the other hand...

I just built a (VBulletin 3.8) forum on the weekend, put the word out here and there (haven't really started to search for traffic) and it's already made me $25 (in 5 days) with Adsense. I realise that's not a wallet splitting amount of money but it will sure be paying for it's hosting and when it starts to really hum it'll be a nice little earner. Not sure what type of site you have there but if it's community oriented in my experience you can't go past Adsense.

You won't know what works best for your site until you actually try it. Mix adsense with other CPC networks such as Chitika. Try some affilliate and CPA offers, see what you could realistically get just by renting out ad space on your site. After that, you should be able to understand what gives you the most revenue per 1000 visitors.
