Putting Adsense code into a "scroll down follow" slider widget against TOS?

Hi there,

I was checking sth out on Hubpages today and it seems that they have incorporated not only a "sliding" social media button (if you scroll down it follows you) but added a small 150x150 Adsense block as well. Last I heard this was against Google Adsense TOS...or is it?

Any ideas?

In my oppinnion it is definetly encouraging you to click it...I could be wrong...

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Sincerely, Buyseech

? What does that have to do with it?

All I am trying to say is, doesnt this go against the "Do not render the code of ADsense" along with "Do not encourage people to click your ads" ...

I am amazed nobody sees any issues with this...Because if this is legit and the ads can follow you around as you scroll up and down, its a goldmine..

Yet the question remains...is this legit?

I have seen Hubpages experiment a lot with ad positioning, but this one is really borderline if you ask me...

Would love to hear more thoughts...

It isn't allowed - it's pretty much covered here: Ad placement policies - AdSense Help

However, these big sites are "special partners" or whatever they are called, as they are doing a high volume - they probably have their own account managers, they get to use different fonts and layouts use mere mortals don't, and they no doubt clear this kind of thing with their AM. That does NOT mean you and I should go out and do the same thing..!

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

No wonder so many people get their accounts banned. Double standards suck, if you ask me.

They should at least explain it to the "mortals"...

They've never hid their handling of special accounts from anyone. I don't really see anything wrong with it. It's their business. They can handle it how they want.
