    There are a variety of free and paid tools out there for finding valuable niches, but more importantly you want to check competition. Doesn't matter how valuable the niche if you cannot rank. No traffic means no earnings. Good luck with your new site though!

    Hey salam,

    Great to hear you're starting your own website. You and I can relate. I actually started out online business with a website and actually got in some views (not a lot, but good enough too motivate me).

    I can tell you for sure that finding a nich is a pain in the @$$. But when you find one...STICK TO IT. Don't go jumping around niches. Keep it going until you have mastered that niche or know for sure you're not gonna profit.

    I currently sticking to just one, because I know that's where I want to be and what I can handle right now.

    I also just finished making my first website and it runs on WP too.^^ So keep it up. Looking forward to more updates on your business.

    Check out yahoo answers, the fact that most person post there problems there says two things; either they are lazy to google search it or they haven't found any information on their problems...

    Figure out something that you are good at and can tell people about or share information on. When you have figured this out, look up keywords for that niche like the guy above just said.

    You need to find out the niches you are experienced in and are comfortable with. You can do best business in those domains.. I think deal sites are a hit, You can try affiliate marketing, you can go for adult dating as well...

    As first step, I would suggest you to go for keyword research using Google external keyword tool/Adwords - That will give you clear ideas about keywords to get target.

    Then, make sure you have fresh and unique well written content and other On-Page settings like Title, Keywords, Desc. and etc.

    Once it is done, go for constant link building on weekly or daily basis to get good ranks. But at initial you will face some kind of Google dance, but don't stop, keep going with good backlinks till you get stable position on Google. That will give you more traffic.

Make a list of topics you are interested in and then use Google Adwords or other tools to find relevant keywords related to your niche.
