What is the value of a backlink If ?

Hi can you please tell me what is the value of a back link on a PR0 or Not ranked page of a PR 2 or PR 3 site.

For example a 300 word post with one contextual link published on a PR 2 Blog but on an inner page of PR0

    use your common sense here. if you have a link on pr0 obviously it has the lowest possible page rank google can give. Now if you had a link on that page google won't show your website much love because it is 0 page rank. Now image you have a link on a pr3. having a page rank 3 backlink is way better then having page rank 0. it goes from pr0-10.

    In the IM world, too many people obsess over PR and now it's got out of hand. Yes it's one of those metrics but what you should be more concerned about is how many links / referring domainsis actually pointing to your link source. I've been gaining links for the past month and not once have I looked at PR and my clients sites are increasing all the time.

    PR can be faked, PR is not real time. Sites with no backlinks itself sometimes have supposedly "PR" so just keep an eye out for it.

    There's so many factors that go into that, it's really tough to say "how powerful the link is"

    For example, you can make a squidoo lens. That squidoo lens will be pr "n/a" when it starts, but the main domain is a pr (8 or 9 i don't remember). That "n/a" link will really do nothing for your site (saying that it's the only backlink you have). But with a lot of them and good content, they can be very powerful.

    This question has too many variables to consider. But as a short general answer, the links will not be that powerful.

    If the front page is for example PR4 but the inner pages are PR0 what is the value of a link on the inner pages ?

      You'll have a PR0 link. But sometimes when PR updates, you may get higher than PR0. I think you should go for it because it is considered to be high quality since it comes from a related PR4 site. Also, place the link somewhere on the middle as google wants to see incontextual links.
