How to target a keyword?

I want to target a keyword and I am doing it pretty well but don't know what to do next.

I am targeting Im Feeling Lucky Tricks I am on number 4. but what to do next? I optimized the page and then I did backlinking through comments on different do-follow blogs but what is next I have been advice to do more but what more?

Can any one help what should I do next?

    You need to build a more diverse stream of backlinks.

    Try using web 2.0 blogs, press releases, guest posts, and keep blog commenting and you should see a rise. Also try and throw in some twitter/FB/pintrest links to get the social signals and you should see your site rise.

    If possible, you'll want to use the insight you gain from the keyword research and targeting process to help determine the site's hierarchy and information architecture. Even if you're deep down in the weeds on an already existing site, you can employ intelligent cross-linking to make sure visitors can find what they're seeking from potential landing pages. The concept should be to make the primary content of the page the most likely target of the searcher's intent, then provide navigation to secondary, tertiary or more specific needs.

    Usually onsite SEO (optimization) is a one time affair except there is some modification to be carried out while the off-site SEO (link building) is a gradual, steady ad long term affair.

    If you are on number 4 that specifies that your onsite is great as well as offsite. However, there are still lots of ways and methods you CAN implore to gain more ranking and diversity like press release, guest blog, blog roll, web 2.0, link pyramid, link wheel, private networks e.t.c.
