Hi guys I'm looking for a good backlinking strategy to raise my search engine rankings. No matter what I try I just can't seem to get my site ranking high in Google for my keywords.

      I'll be creating backlinks for around 30 keywords so I can't really say low or high competition because they're all different.

    What kind of niches are you targetting? Areas like Weight Loss, Dating, Make Money Online are very tough to compete. Try to find less saturated markets or a better strategy is to write down every problem you have in your "normal", everyday life. Chances are others will have the same problems which = a marketing opportunity.

    Updating your website and adding new content will be best for your website's ranking in search engines. You have 30 keywords, my advice is to make a blog post for each keyword. In this way every blog post will start ranking for that particular keyword and your burden of ranking all 30 keyword back links will be lessened.

      Already have 30+ articles targeting 30+ keywords.

      All article are unique and 500 words+ some are even 1000+

    If you have a bit of money to spend than invest in some high PR domains and start building a network. Thats the strongest and most reliable SEO strategy.

    If you are on a budget then look to get some quality links through Guest Posting. Build high quality "branded" web 2.0's. Seek out quality sites in your niche and post on-topic comments on the sites that allow that sort of thing. Find forums in your niche and participate and add your link into the signature. Get a Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest account and promote your site through that. Theres a lot of ways to go about it but these are some basic steps.

    To get higher ranking in Google, you need to get back links form some good PR sites. Do that naturally. It is not a matter for few days that within one month you will get a good result, you have to to keep your work going. Working with 30 key words at time seems too much to me.

Write guest posts for other sites and blogs, and include a link back to your website. Diversify your anchor text.     how many searches does that keyword get each month? how many results in the serps?
