Does Alexa needs specific posting time?

Hi friends,

I want to know that how alexa determine the rank for website. I read about many articles over internet. But two of them make me confused.

1. Should write about Alexa and link back them.
Q: But i already placed their widget, then why it should required?

2. Maintain specific time to publish article. Random timing is bad for alexa algorithm!!
Q: I run a current news blog, then how could it possible to maintain specific timing?

It will be helpful for me if some one explain about this two factor. Thanks

    Alexa rank depends on many factors like visitors, pageviews, time spent on site and so on

    Alexa is kind of BS thing....people (without experience) care about alexa....alexa's data is inaccurate....

    why do you want your alexa rank higher when it is totally wrong and useless.....

          What I think, doesn't matter..

          What I do know is this, I direct sell ad slots on my website and I cannot think of a single company that did not ask what the Alexa Ranking was for my 2 sites. Then again, we are talking about companies willing to spend money on ad slots for related websites. Now I am not saying this is the only number they go by buy it should match the traffic you can prove you have.. An Alexa Ranking of 2k but only 200 users a day would clearly show yourself to be fraud.

          Now I do know you can find clients you can debate how effective Alexa Ranking is but isn't it smarter just to have a solid ranking that matches your traffic, so you can get down to negotiating price. I am running a business, not a class room. If I am going to educate a client I would rather it be me teaching them how effective an ad campaign could be for them and why owning a slot for an entire period of time is far more effective especially on a site that targets their customer's interest.

    I think it should be important to state something, when I was dealing with Adsense I completely ignored Alexa and did not see much value in attempting to maintain a value with its ranking. It was not until I removed Adsense and started moving my interested into other avenues of making money did I really start to comprehend just how many companies actually use it. Like it or not.. You pick your battles
