Some help on some SEO Qs!

Hi guys,
I'm an intermediate level blogger and know a bit of SEO (i think) but have these questions in doubt. Was wondering if you guys can help me answer these:
1- best off page seo tools for safe backlinking
2- Imautomator - is it safe? worth the money? better alternatives?
3- pingfarm, 247ping, linkilicious - do i need to post on all 3 or just 1?
4- do I need to spin article before submitting to ezine, fb notes etc?
5- does the blog need to be on one topic only or can I mix online marketing with mlm and can we add blog posts on our travelling? or does it confuse google? and I should stick to one only?
