In WF Im seeing some Frivolous, Trashy, Rubbish and Ridiculous questions asked by mainly forum comment spammers. Each and every time I see these questions are getting hits by newbie to experts! If you see the post count meter of the thread starters you would see just few posts made by those spammers. But still I cant understand why we are replying to those spammed questions! Here are best three in my opinion....

1- Is SEO Dead? Really ridiculous one.

2- Nofollow links help in ranking? Already discussed many many times..

3- Duplicate Content Question. Help my site penalized for duplicate article posts?

Another rumor I dont know the origin and it would continue even in 2021 may be after death of Google.

Well there are some more like "Edu and Gov Backlinks Questions. Are they worth building to my site?" but I think these 3 are the most frequently used 3, by spammers for just making us busy when they are increasing their post counts to add a signature link after may be 10 posts to be ensured their profiles would not be deleted by admins if they add signature in first day of account opening!

Whilst i do agree with this post to a certain degree, do you think it might have been more helpful to answer those 3 things in a lot of detail and then maybe we can reply in those posts with a link back here so they can understand correctly what is going on. Some is done by the spammers and others are done by people who are on a learning curve and just want to know how to get a footing in this industry.

Lol. You are correct. But its also true some are done by newbies too.

@dbwebhosting. SD said to look on numbers of posts of the posters. He is correct in this point. If we see a poster with just 10 posts and asking questions like these after the thread no activities for couple of months we can come on conclusion the thread is started by a spammer.

Sometimes I become really annoyed by watching questions like Is SEO dead or What is Penguin. No offense when asked by a newbie. Everybody started from zero. But you are OP is correct. Nowadays spammers understand these types of questions attracts good amount of traffic and curious people click on signature links.

No OP is not spammer. I just read his posts and some of them make good sense.

I tend to get a burr in my arse and have a question I'm itching to know the answer to immediately.

I know I could find the answer by doing a thorough search on the forums, but at the end of the day. I don't want to spend a bunch of time looking for an answer to a question in 10 different threads if there are 10 people willing to help me.

I'm not lazy by any stretch of the imagination (except on Saturdays). I just don't like searching for answers, especially when the question I have isn't always going to be in the same context as to why I'm asking.

PS. I'd also like to point out I've been here for only 3 weeks and I have 60 posts (at the time of this writing). I'm hungry for knowledge, I've already spent $150+ on WSO's that are relevant to what I'm trying to learn. (I've never felt ripped off.) So just because someone has a high post count but a short life on the forums doesn't mean anything.

Who knows, you may be asking them for tips in a years time.

Yes, I've noticed this too lately..and some of them go to the extent of answering each others' questions. Last week, a spammer just mass post questions about some different types of PPC networks if they are good or not, then another spammer answers his questions on all the threads that he made. Some of them also just make a irrelevant comments on popular threads...I was already thinking that somebody here made a WSO blueprint on how to get links in popular forums and using the question and answer technique like the one they used in Yahoo answers to get backlinks..
