Best way to track your affiliate conversions

Hi there!

I am looking for the best way to track my conversions.What tools and methods can you recommend me? I have an affiliate account but I still find it a bit difficult to check where my conversions are coming from.

For me the most important thing to know is from where (referrer) the user came and if he clicked on an affiliate link or not and if he actually bought/signed up for something.

    it depends on the affiliate network.. some affiliate networks supports tracking pixels, some supports sub id tracking..
