This past week, my keyword rankings have been all over the place.

One day it's top 20...The next, not even top 100....And back and forth throughout the day.

What gives? The latest google PR update, my site was boosted to a Page 1 rank.

I did a lot of blog commenting to alot of No-follow PR 0-1 sites this past week..That's the only thing I can think of.

It's called the Google dance and is perfectly normal. When your site is brand new it goes through this stage until you fully flesh out your link profile and get some domain age on your side.

I actually like it when my brand spanking new sites start dancing, because when they finally stabilize they always come into a stronger position than before.

You're doing nothing wrong. Simply continue what you are doing, post quality content and the algo will eventually warm up to you and stabilize your position.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Ok cool...Thanks for the reply..My site is about 3 months old, and somehow it wasn't "dancing" much until now. I only had about 5-6 articles there, but it hadn't been skipping around at all until this week...

In fact it was very consistent for past 2-3 months..Many keywords were between 8-15 in rankings...Now they are really dancing, even all the way to 90 and off the top 100, then the next day they are back to top 20.

WTF is a google dance? It's almost seems like they are using different servers to gauge your rankings.

Your site will "dance" once it starts to see an influx of links. This could be from your doing or someone elses. Usually a good dance results in an overall higher "stable" serp result, so just wait it out.

Keep adding content and valuable links and you'll be fine.

Too much backlinking. Google is evaluating your links because they seem sketchy.

The situation which you faced on your sites, it's called Google Dancing which is usually occurs when your site get more links in a short time that you got from the too much blog comments.

My site is dancing up a storm but all of my backlinks are from web 2.0 bookmarks and article marketing, I do not have any blog comments that I have created.
