Split testing means to test different ads and see which performs best both for CTR and conversions. You should test only two ads at a time. When one outperforms another, you pause the lesser performer and replace it with another ad and repeat the process. You may want to re-test a paused ad later so don't delete or edit it.

You can also do this at the landing page level for conversions. I suggest testing the ads first then the landing page. You don't want to test different ads going to different pages. You want to test different ads going to the same page. Once your ads have reached a reasonable level or seem to have reached a level you can't or is harder to improve upon, test different landing pages with those ads.

Keep meticulous data on all aspects. That is, what happened with Ad1-Page1 vs Ad2-Page1 and Ad1-Page2 and Ad2-Page2. The positioning, the costs. Adwords has all this data, it's just a matter of importing into the proper tool (a database not a spreadsheet) to compile the data. Even better if you use the conversion tracker.

Your test should have enough statistically significant data. You should have at least 25 clicks for each ad before making a decision on the best performer. More is better. If you get those clicks in a short period of time, say a day or two, I'd test for longer period, at least a week. You want to know if there are other effects such as differences between week days and weekends.

Same for testing conversions. You need lots of them. One or two conversions tells you nothing. You need at least 25 conversions for each ad or page you're testing.

How the page was created has no impact. You can code it manually, using CMS like Wordpress or software like Dreamweaver. Whatever you like or familiar with.

Is there any way to split test different theme with wordpress?

Adwords don't allow redirecting or iframnig.

I would recommend NOT split testing the theme & split testing Adwords at the same time.

Your measurement for any split test should be ROI, nothing else, so having 2 variables would not give you the best results.

Well I wouldnt say so because visitors have to click on the add before they see the theme so it wouldnt give you a true reading as to which theme is more favoured. If you want to check which theme people like I would upload the 2 images to your facebook page and ask your friends to choose.
