I interviewed a Social Media expert for a project yesterday and she mentioned that we should not concentrate on using Linkedin for corporate social media but should also consider using "BranchOut" - Has anyone got any feedback about BranchOut? Is it worth looking at?

I haven't heard of it before, But it seems good. It may have some genuine people you're looking for. I think you should give it a try and continue working with the site until some interesting results appears.

I haven't heard of this either, thought Linkedin was the one everyone used.

I guess it's all about the time required. We haven't set up a Linkedin page for the business yet... so I think this needs to be the priority considering it really seems like Branchout has not made much of an impression with people yet. I was curious to see whether everyone else is just as much in the dark about this one as we were! I think it might just be a matter of the Social Media expert showing off a little with the breadth of her knowledge on the subject

Apparently the product is run through Facebook so they're looking to leverage off the already high user base. Will be interesting to see how many people actually want their personal and professional worlds colliding!
