Panda and Penguin did not target any specific link types or strategys. All of the link building techniques that worked last year still work now, the only difference is we need to mix our anchors up a lot more which has been SEO advice 101 for years, not sure how so many people got caught in penguin tbh

Personally I avoid all SEO services like that plague. The reason for that is most providers have the same problems. First of all they use poor quality/scraped/auto spun content and then they post to the same list they have posted thousands of other customers to.

Also if you have any problems/penaltys in the future more often than not you have absolutely zero control over the links that have been created which makes it difficult to update/remove them if you need to in the future.
