traffic getting down but rank up???

i have a website related to movies and it is about 2 months old and i am constantly building the backlinks from a month but alexa has not yet updated all links for my site . in the july the website was doing well in the search engines and i was getting a good traffic what it should deserve in starting month but in august , the search has decreased much more and is constantly decreasing .but the rank in alexa is contineously increasing . i don't know what is happening and what sould i do?
should i stop link building or continue help me.

    Was there a sudden decrease in traffic coming into your website? If so, when did it happen?

    I would say, with the information you've given us, keep building links and adding new content, but your question is very generic so I can't give a more specific answer.

      i hasn't happened all of the sudden but it decreased slowly from starting of the august .
