Page 1 in Google w/ Amazon Review Site in 2 Days!

You need to build some backlinks - what you're experiencing right now is the 'Google Honeymoon' - Google will often bump brand new sites up to the first page for the first 3-6 weeks but I hate to say that it won't last.

Keep adding good reviews and SLOWLY build some quality backlinks for the first month or two until you finally settle into your actual position - then it's just steady building of content and backlinks and a slow climb back up.

If he is following the strategy that I outlined for him, this should not be a problem.

Does your analytics programs distinguish between real human 'views' and google-bot clicks?

With new sites/webmasters many people think that they are getting good traffic only to realise later that their analytics is counting bots within the view count.

I remember I got to page 1 of google with a site similar to yours for about 2 days then is jsut dropped off the to page 7 within 24 hours

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes, I have used wolf's amazon blueprint to hello me get going. It was the only WSO I bought that really made sense to me.

My tracker does differentiate between bots and actual views. The views by bots was much higher than my actual views.

I went into my site from another PC and noticed it wasn't formatting properly. That may be why my conversions seem to be next to nothing. I also only have one review up. I'm hoping things pick up when I add a few more this week.

Awesome! Glad you are starting to see results. I wouldn't worry too much about click throughs with just 100 visitors. It happens. Now, if it continues, it could be an issue with content or link placement. I can take a look at your site to see what u can do about optimizing content and affiliate link placement / calls to action.

While I agree with the content addition, you can do very well without manual backlinking when you target the right products.

I have reviews on some sites that I posted in April of 2011 still ranked on page one and never once built a backlink outside of the initial automated bookmarking of it.

I'm also following wolfmmiii's blueprint and have 6 reviews up but no-where near that many visitors. In fact, I'm not really getting any traffic at all.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I'll shoot you a PM with my email address. Traffic depends on lots of things. Some products just aren't conducive to buying online or you just may be having problems ranking (too much competition).

I have 50 product reviews averaging 30 unique visitors. I'm creating 1 review every day.

And today I'm branching out to another Amazon site building 2 a day till it hits 50 and that's where I start building 1 review afterwards.

Wow! You really have this down! Most of the products on your site (that I saw) are ranking on page one of Google. Good job!

"Average" is hard to define. Some of those products are fairly expensive and some not so much so you have a pretty wide variety on your site. My personal target is 100 visitors per day on a site before moving onto the next but that's just my personal preference. Keep doing what you are doing. You are on the right path!

NOPE! Not doing that . For my niche sites that is.

And with Wolfs strategy my content gets indexed in MINUTES and already on the first pae.

GGpaul - way to go. I also have started a review site using Wolfs strategy and method. I'm up to 8 reviews, have a few KWs on page one. had 5 hits from google. 1 week in. 4 clicks to Amazon. No backlinking whatsoever. gonna set up that bookmarking plugin. gonna keep building. I changed the header a bit, too. Have you had any sales? Thats the big question. btw, I'll show you mine if you show me yours
