Beginner Questions. Help Needed.

I just started off trying to make money online by making my first amazon affiliate review website. First things first, I've been following a guide so far and basically only have a home page where I'm just posting reviews post by post, written by me. So I only have one page, that is the home page.

Ok now first question: How do I check my position of google for a certain keyword? Is there a certain free tool I can use.

Second Question is in regards to backlinking. Now I've already read the full stickied guide on SEO. But I'm confused about a few minor details.

First of all, after you backlink are we supposed to ping the page where you backlink is from? or our website itself.

Second of all, once you make like a social bookmark, can you go back and make another social bookmark (backlink) on the same site. (Still a bit iffy on what social bookmarking is) I'm using socialmarker.com to manually make backlinks by social bookmarking. If I leave a social bookmark on one site, can I come back again another day and keep making social bookmarks on the same site?

And on the FAQ it said- For truly fast backlinking social bookmark them or create RSS feeds with links in.
How do I create an RSS feed. What is an RSS feed.
