Concerning blogger blog.

It's been more than 6 months since I've created a free blog with blogger which as you know has the blogspot.com extension. I am in a low competition niche, but despite I have created hundreds of links, I have not seen the kind of result that I was expecting. It's obvious that I've never seen any blogger blog that ranks in the first position for a keyword.

My question is has anyone ever experienced good ranking with a free blogspot blog?

    You can rank with blogspot blogs just as with any other sites that use a web 2.0 platform.

    How did you create your backlinks? Did you use an automation software? What kind of links are they?

    If, for example, you wanted to build profile links, then no wonder you haven't seen any change. Profile links rarely get indexed, and if they do, they amount to almost nothing.

    The kind of links that I've created are article marketing, forum signature links, and blog commenting links. At least %95.00 of them got indexed already because I can see them in the Google webmaster tool. The problem is with ranking, I've not really seen the kind of results that I was expecting.

    Have you added labels to your blog post? They are shown on the right side when you create or edit your post. Apparently they have an SEO benefit.

    Have you analyzed the 1st page competition for your keyword? What PR do the top 10 sites have? How many backlinks?

      I always do what you suggest, but the problem is that label does not carry much weight as far as search engine optimization is concerned. Although, some of the things that you mention are important. Since, I am in a low competition niche it should not have taken me that long to see genuine results.
