Does Backlinks still useful after Google Changed

I am a little confused that, after all my keywords ranking down, I don't know how to add backlinks to my sites now. I just want to know whether they are still useful or not?

    Sure backlinks are for website.It make ranking higher if you do of page optimization properly so you should continue with making backlinks.

    Yes, they are. But you have to vary all of your keywords extensively. Also, emphasize on Quality backlinks, not Quantity thus the procedure doesn't seem like Spamming.

    better maintain a quality blog , promote some quality stuff in the blog and promote your blog through social networking sites and bookmarking, add as many as followers and involve in discussions with the community people. this is how u can promote your website in a trust and relevancy way .

    Backlinks still are the major factor in ranking its just that there are more algorithm filters to detect unnatural ranking manipulation. Make them look natural and you'll be ok.

    Seems like Googles fear mongering has gotten to you and your now suffering from SEO paralysis.

    Don't worry though, everything that used to work in the last 2-3 years (bar forum profiles) still works you just have to apply it slightly differently if you got caught up by penguin etc.

    Don't be scared to build links, try to improve the overall quality of your link building and you wont have any problems

    If you don't build link to your site then it would keep going down so you should start building links as soon as possible.

    The ranking is going down is because of any major changes, your any strong backlinks were removed, you may have changed title tag, you may have changed theme, you may have linked to bad neighborhood.

    Never think, back links are not useful for ranking. Back link is the only source to refer your site from another site. According to Google's ranking algorithm, Back links and anchor text takes above 40% of responsibilities in SERP ranking.

    I think, the reason may be for ranking down of your keywords, you had some bad backlinks and still you didn't remove those links.

    So, back links are always worth if they come from a quality site. Better to avoid bad links which is completely unrelated to your site.

    You all are very kind but nobody understands me. Every software recommended in this forum and every software my teachers recommend (specially Three way links) are available for purchasing using PayPal. But I cannot use PayPall from Serbia. And my English is not perfect for submitting articles to Ezinearticles. I feel hopeless.

    Links are the backbone of the internet. Without links, there is no way to promote a site online. Google is primarily a links based algorithm and will be for as long as SEO is around

      There are lots of other ways to promote websites other than by placing links

      Get serious here. I'm sure you've heard of PPC and SMO. How about print ads, mailers, car magnets, T-shirts, etc etc.

    In this new day of google, the proper type of backlinks are important to rank your site. Do not just grab any backlink from any site that hands them out.

    This can hurt you as Google has changed the game.

    A lot is still in flux regarding the Google Panda update, so I am just sticking with my main area of expertise in videos.

    High quality and niche relevant backlinks were, is and will remain always important for a website. If there is no backlink, how will google and other search engines will rank websites? Thousands of websites have got quality contents. Search engines will not be able to deny any of them. So, after content it comes to good quality backlinks.

    Backlinks are always important but make sure you build quality backlinks. Don't create backlinks just for the sake of creating a link. After penguin update, one need to be very careful while building backlinks. Vary your anchor text and the quantity, so that it should look quite natural to Google and don't create backlinks on spammy sites. Try to create backlinks on high PR sites related to your niche. Quality backlinks are must for a quality content.

      Now, I have a hub, lens and a post at my site on the same topic with same keywords. And I pointed to all this articles using anchor text from another two places. If I click on this links at Hub pages which will take me to my site, and to my lens at Squidoo, and again I click those links with anchor text in my lens to take me to my hub, and my post...? What would happen? Would Google count this backlinks? The topic is the same, but articles are unique. Thanks.
