What is the best layout for my word press website?

I'm doing like a review of amazon items.

So in terms of structure:
So far I have only one page (my homepage), a page with 1 review per item per post. So far I have 5 reviews on my home page. (Its not optimized yet)

Would it be better to move my reviews to another page on my website and just optimize my home page with mostly text to welcome users?

OR

should I leave the reviews on my home page (it looks like a blog) and start optimizing them now?

Right now I'm leaning toward option 2.
Have any advice?

Option 2 would be my choice too, I usually don't optmize my home page, I prefer to focus on every single page

When you say " I prefer to focus on every single page" you mean other pages of the website right?

yes, that's right, I'd only use a "welcome text" on the home page if it's like a static site, with fixed number of pages

Im not sure what you mean by 'start optimising' the posts now... Do you mean on-page optimisation? And if so, then isnt that something you should have done before the posts were published?

    Back to the main question.

It might be good idea to have some sort of welcome post which gives the visitor a quick idea of the purpose of the website, maybe via some sort of summary article eg. Top 5 whatever your niche product range is and use that to also link to various areas and posts within your website. Or maybe even a "Top tips" article, or the lead product you are pushing.
