    Don't limit yourself in Odesk. Why not try looking for workers in onlinejobs.ph and/or directory.outsourcingautopilot.com? There are lots of legitimate workers here.

    Actually now a days every contractor needs some experience. Everyone on the odesk is experienced but they have no proof as the profiles they created are new. I think you should give the new workers a chance to show their experience. My suggestion is you can try to keep some new new worker.

      How can you be sure about that? I'm working at Odesk for more than two and half years and I know how Skilled and Experienced workers are joining there every day.
      It's true that a Newbies should be given chance to grow their profile but a matter of FACT, most of them come to this with a little or without Solid Knowledge base.
      Anyone is today's date has become a SEO expert there!

        Yeah, you are absolutely right. I am also on odesk for approx. 2 years. I know the facts. So before hiring a person you should check them first.

    OK, if you don't happen to receive any recommendations from here in a timely manner, Philippino SEO and other workers have worked out fine for me. But be guided by their feedback on jobs they've done. I find that simple things like having the pride to get a logo organised can be a useful pointer; as well as how quickly they get back to you and so on. I hope that helps.

    the best way is to post a job and they will come to you ... best ones are from india cheap and realable just post a job and you will see you can even ask them for a small sample job befre you hire them. thats how i did it i got 2 great guys

    My experience: I've hired a few people on oDesk over the past 18 months or so, mainly coding and writing, however. I usually just post a job, and let them come to me. Then I choose a few likely ones, and interview them. You have to be careful to try to find out if they are overstating their confidence and abilities.

    I frequently select first-timers on oDesk, because they are eager to please, to prove themselves and get a good feedback. Also they are often cheap because they are starting out. Some of these are still doing work for me. Having said that, obviously I have had some failures (about 1 in 4), but because they were cheap and the initial jobs were small, I didn't lose much.

    Apart from recommendations (obviously a good thing) this is my suggested way to find a good outsourcer.
