Is this the Google Dance?

My website used to rank on page 1 under my keyword sitting #5.

Just over a month ago I made a slight HTML adjustment to the site to ensure my keyword appeared in the title and description.

I have an EMD and in the rankings that Google displays it now shows my KW in the title and description.

Within a few days I shot to #1

A week or so later I am no where to be seen and this has been the case for many weeks. Could this be Google dance and do you think there is a chance I will come back? Just seems quite a long time to me :confused:

Thanks if anyone can help - I did this to try and improve things and maybe I should have never changed anything :confused:

Would appreciate if anyone has any feedback. Thanks

    that might be google dance, you need to wait for a few more days to check if it is google dance or not..

      My site is ranking for many "other" keywords so could I still be blacklisted then :confused:

        Your page is either in the SERPs or it's not.

        Do a search for the target page:
        site:www.domain.com/exact-page-url-here/
        Make sure to search for the [exact] page URL your trying to rank, not the Index page.

      Hello again,

      My site still hasn't come back under my main KW.

      I typed into Google today .....

      site:www.domain.com

      and 6 results returned showing each of my pages - Could I still be blacklisted if this is showing :confused:

    Hello...

    As per my opinion your site is not blacklisted and may be possible its Google dance. Now a days google not only consider Meta but also verify content. So if your targeted keyword is in site content than Google also catch that keyword and show in SERP.

    So as per my view put your keyword in site content also. And remove blacklinks which is comes from unauthorized sites.

    there might be some changes last week or this week, 3 of my sites that are sitting on the first page are gone too, i don't panic as when i type the url in google it still appear, but this will last for couple of days or weeks. just be patient

    is it possible to happen google dance with a site for several times?


    I have a site which was at first page. Few days ago google dance attacked my site and rank fall down. After 2/3 weeks my keywords ranked again. and today after 2weeks my rank again fall down. Some tells that it's over optimization penalty. But I checked my site site:yourdomain.com and got result at google. My site is more than one year old. So I think it's not possible to attack with google honeymoon. Can you please say what happened with my site??
