    DMOZ is free.

    Good luck getting listed though. Not even sure it still effective in terms of SEO.

    If you're smart, you'll buy a domain thats already listed in DMOZ, then redirect it to your own within Webmaster Tools.

    Take my advice. Submit your site and forget about it. You don't need it.

      DMOZ does still work, but it's become a cesspool. It isn't as stringently moderated as it once was. Many mods are accepting cash in exchange for site inclusions, and I've even run into one who wouldn't even consider including a site until he was paid.

    Poor DMOZ. One of my claims to fame is I had the first video site in DMOZ. They made me my own category.. lmao.. Great idea then corruption shows up. why not try DMOZ editing?

    I think DMOZ has become so polluted it has little value, while it appears Google still uses it, I would guess it will eventually lose relevance and be replaced.
