Amazon Affiliate Question!

I am a complete IM beginner (read 'noob') and I am trying to register my Amazon Affiliate account. I have 2 questions:

1. I am at the second step where I have to give a website profile. From what I understand, most people create 1 website for 1 niche. Would I have to create a new Amazon Affiliate account for each niche (website)? What is the purpose of the website profile?

2. I am from Canada. Should I register under the .ca TLD or .com TLD Does it make it difference?

    You Don't need a new Amazon account for the each websites you use to promote products........

    You do not need a new account for each site/niche. One account will suffice. If you want to promote amazon.ca products, register for that one. Otherwise, register for amazon.com. They are different and sales made on .ca will not be credited if you are an amazon.com affiliate (and vice versa).

      It doesn't matter @cantinaband....

      Please note that you are able to set difference Tracking ID to better monitor your clicks and purchase for each product or niche....
