Buying Quality Aged domains WITH PR To Repurpose As Money Sites Question

Hi guys,

Bought afew PR4 domains to used as money sites just wondering how you guys feel about backlinking these sites after penguin ?

I had the homepage of one site hit the top 50 for a really competitive keyword and then vanish and i`ve not seen it for about 8 weeks now.

I had only used social bookmarks until i saw it in the top 50 and then sent 60 blog comments to it drip feed over 1 month and then 50 blog comments drip feed over the next month while continued social bookmarks.

I`m just curious as to how resistant these types of sites are to the sandbox or what ever that dark place is called/or actually is ?

I mean thats a 10 year old PR4 domain that checked out well in all my little tests, so 300 bookmarks and 110 blog comments (mixed anchor text) over 2.5 / 3 months shouldn`t of caused any issues should it ?

Thanks Jim

Try to not only spam the SB sites. Get connected and interact with real people there and you'll get the real advantages more than just a links bookmarked without any further benefits.

If you did blog comment in relevant and quality blog post, it's shouldn't be problem.

When you buy a PR4 domain it already has links obvious, with anchor txt's that probably make not very much sense for your site but plenty of juice.

So what you have to do is funnel the juice, so instead of focusing on ranking your homepage, you should focus on ranking inner pages, that way you can link with the correct anchor txt from the homepage to the inner page and that way you get the most out of it. Once the juice reaches the innerpages you can link back to your homepage with the correct anchor text. It's all about translating the juice to suit your needs. When all links pointing at your PR4 domain use the domainname or url as anchor txt then there should not be much of a problem to rank. Just optimizing your pages should work well and perhaps a few anchor txt links from external sources to put the right focus on the site.

Oh and yes stop spamming, it just makes no sense to think that drip feeding will have a different effect for spammy links then just placing them at the same time.

            Hi there !
Thanks for this reply i think i know you from the full control seo forum too right ?

Yeah thats a great answer and i`m a pro at inter linking and for sure all my inner pages are doing really well and after the PR update the other week ALL my inner pages are not only ranking well but PR3 which is cool !

But i really want to rank my homepage for a killer keyword i`m hoping that if i continue to write content and inter link it correct that i`m going to get there what ever i belive i can do it and if i manage to get top 10 for my keyword then its porsche time lol

But the whole post really was just to ask the question, Does a 10 years old PR4 domain get sent into the sandbox (or what ever that dark place is called) with afew spammy blog comments and i`m still talking hand written manual comments not scrapebox ??

I had the sites homepage at 48 in google it took about 8 weeks for it to get there and then i send it 60 blog comments + 50 more the following month and its gone i thought it was dancing it still could be i just wanted to know what the warriors with experiance thought
