How does this site get to put up huge AdSense Ads

On this site:

on the right, there are two very large vertical AdSense ad 'bars' (one on top the other). These look a lot bigger than anything I've seen available in AdSense.
Does anyone know how they're able to show such large AdSense ad chunks? Each ad bar on the right side of the site has 20 text ads, for a total of 40 text ads on one page.
Also, on another of their pages, they have Chitika ads along with AdSense ads. Just wondering if those make as much or close to what AdSense ads make?
