so their are 26 letters and 9 numbers that i can use to hid my links in forums i was just wondering would it hurt my google rank if i start posting on forums with hidden links that are only 1 letter?

    If I was Google, I would think... What is this? Some1 just misstyped a word (no matter it is a link!) and they would ignore it according to me... And are you trying to get a better SERP for a word from random letters? (gasoksdtgkds2tasd -> is this a word?)

    my plan was to post in well written forum threads on gaming forums, so the keywords are picked up on thread on what i want to rank for?, but the moderators on loads of forums ban for even one link so what i plan on doing is changing the font colour and hiding the links lol

    you can get two letter words? maybe this will be a little bit better?

      I've only done it to get indexed. I used the period. Yeah, you can change the font color, but it can still be noticed if it's underlined. If you do post a link, you can sneak it in (I think) with a period at the end, linked to your site. Today I post a few links on backpage to get indexed-plus they last for a few months, I think.

      A better backlinking method I use, is create pdf ebooks and reports and if you don't want the link visible, you can change the color and remove the underlining. I use Open Office to create these since you can easily export as pdf. If you create something worthwhile and "offer" to let them promote the free ebook/report on their site, who knows how many legitimate backlinks you could get.

    Interesting thought...However, I doubt you're going to be able to change the styling of the link on most forums.
