Mike, do I really need to connect all the dots? This portends an opportunity in Google rankings. This is an problem for Google I predicted some time ago. It will help open up search for other sites - such as your sites or your client's sites.

Well yeah kindsvater I am so stupid I guess you do have to connect the dots because right now none of my customers sell products through amazon so they will never get in front of the eyeballs of people who go straight to amazon.

Please explain how Amazon getting more direct searches opens up search for any Imers or anyone else but Amazon? Is any Imer ranking on the front page of Amazon?

This Google hate from IMers because they can't spam and rank as easily forgets one main thing. Google opens up its site to get links to other sites for free something that alot of companies including Amazon will never do.

IF you are assuming that this will cause google to drop amazon out of its front page slots - for what? Once they take that move they will place either their own shopping results or other big companies like Walmart etc.

If you think Amazon is in position to take on google in search generally don;t hold your breath. They get traffic precisely because they sell products not do search.

i'm curious what in the world you think just happened good for Me or my clients. Everything looks exactly the same

Sorry but these threads are like a guy getting all satisfied because the new boyfriend of your ex girl friend spilled coffee on himself. Its a minor thing but at the end of the day she's still with him and you are still going home to be alone watching National Geographics.

It's true, sometimes I do just go straight to eBay or Amazon to buy something. However, more often than not I still go to Google and search around, to see if any other site offers a better deal.

The harder I work, the luckier I get.

That article was already posted on another forum thread.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ly-afraid.html

What that article fails to see is the flip side of that 20% Amazon traffic. Google has 20% of Amazon traffic by the ballz.

Also watch what happens when Amazon runs out of places to hide from state sales tax collections, that instantly levels the playing field online & offline.

Amazon is big, but they don't have a clue about search compared to Google.

The problem with the anti-Google/pro-Amazon theory is nobody gets on Google search & does a search for:
    • [motorola sb6121 amazon]

    They search for:
    • [motorola sb6121]

    Or something like:
    • [motorola sb6121 review]

The buyer doesn't care about Amazon during the Google search, If they did they would skip Google (years ago) & go straight to Amazon.
