Could someone confirm whether or not links from Wordpress.com and Weebly.com blogs pass page rank?

Do links from these sites have a role to play in terms of SEO?

    They pass pagerank.

    These links and also all the links that exists on the internet have a role in SEO.

    I agree with kaluuu that page rank is passed, but I've heard that it really depends on the blog's status and history with how Google views it. You do see some wordpress.com sites show in the serps, but not as often anymore. It used to be taught as a spammy way for people to build links for themselves in the past, when stuff that happens, Google catches on and the whole category gets hit hard. Much like the old ezinearticle marketing techniques.

    I have been out of IM for while.

    I want to use WP.com and Weebly for links back to my authority site to boost its PR. So, I just wanted to know if these links from these sites are still worthwhile especially after Panda/Penguin.
