PDF Sharing sites - quetsions

i have been hearing alot about the pdf sharing sites. so i was thinking about doing some. do i just put some random into a pfd and make a backlink to a site ? and then submitt it ?

can some one please shed some light on this

      Exactly. I don't htink this can hel SEO wise but you cna get some extra exposure with doc sharing sites and don't need writing anything else, just turning your articles into pdf's

        What's your source that pdf documents don't have value as backlinks? Why wouldn't they work as well or better than an article site? I always assumed they'd be considered somewhat authority backlinks.

      A lot of these sites have the documents in what look like I-frames or flash. These aren't indexed? Unfortunately, I didn't think of that--only that I hate reading from these sites.

      @theantihype So I understand that if the pdf is indexed, the site which hosts it get SEO benefits, right?

      as much as a normal article with the same content? or worse?

      And how do I know id the pdf I upload and link in my blog is indexable or not?

        PDF's are indexable. Upload it to your blog and it will end up in Google.

    Yes, this works. But not with random info. You want good content or it will be useless.

    I use PDF sites quite frequently and am happy with my results.

    Don't bother using them if your focus is SEO.

    If you want direct traffic, then providing a free report (good quality, not just garbage) can get great results and also pre-sell your product. Just link to your affiliate link or squeeze page.
