How can i do SEO for Baidu??

Hello friends

my site is in English language, now the client want me to do SEO for china. Its known that Baidu.com is the only search engine for china.

so my question is that i want to learn SEO for Baidu, what strategy should i follow for baidu. if any body have the idea about it please let me know..

    Surely it is the same ranking factors as Google and any other major search engine. Just get your site indexed by what ever submission process they follow.

    Baidu is most popular search engine in China. And assume its' ranking algorithm is similar to Google China. It is purely based on the assumption that when it can beat Google in a large market, its' ranking algorithm should be comparable to Google.People may also wonder if English keywords are used in China. From our experience, it really depends on your industry and targeted visitors. For example, English keywords are used by high income office workers, manufacturing and trading firms, or banking professional. If your target is general mass market, Chinese keywords are dominant in frequency of use.

      Baidu's popularity has nothing to do with its algorithm or how well it works compared to Google, and everything to do with the Chinese government eliminating access to Baidu's competition.

      You should just turn this client down or pass it on to someone with experience ranking in Baidu.

    I'm not sure why anyone would want to rank on Baidu considering everything they do is censored by China Gov., If China Gov. doesn't like something about your page, could be something as simple as being hosted outside of China, they will block you on Baidu.

    The risk is you waste your time & money to rank a page that eventually gets blocked by China Gov.

    Like Mike said, I would skip the project.

      Actually its my regular client & the major part of business is conducted from China... so now he want to explore site for china.... thats y i m worried so how i can i do it.....
