Traffic from Google Images but not search

Hey Warriors,

The site in my signature is getting roughly 60,000-80,000 impressions per day, but they seem to all come from images.

From webmaster tools, I can't see the site getting ANY google search traffic. Now, ofcourse, the 'niche' im targeting is potentially one of the biggest in the world. But, I'd expect after 200 posts (5-10 daily posts), that at least some of them would generate some traffic.

How long would it take to rank such a highly competitive authority site for search traffic?

P.S. Bing and Yahoo often ranks me VERY high for some new posts (sometimes 1st position), but Google seems to hate me atm.

The domain's around 9months old, but I have only been posting content for around 3weeks. Thanks.

Your competing with every major news site on the web, most have been around since the mid/late 1990's. Your site/content is 3 weeks old.

One of your page titles: Usher wins custody of his children over Tameka Foster

    It's tough competition!

Indeed. I know it's extremely tough, but I'd expect to have SOME traffic from google, however little it may be.

I can't moan with Yahoo and Bing, there sending me SOME traffic even though it's such a HUGE niche

Getting on 1st place for images is really easy (you get 2 VERY POWERFUL weapons):

    1) Name of the picture (seo.jpg)
    2) ALT tag of the <IMG> attribute (SEO)

Both these will help you to get very high rank for the keyword SEO (Of course SEO is a very competitive word, so you should try with something different -> SEO tactics for example)
