Solid Free Article Submitter?

Newbie: OK OK, I know you can only get what you pay for but I am looking to submit to only about 10 of the top article sites or so (once I find this list - anyone know?) In any case I am guessing I don't need to have different versions if I am not sending to 100's of sites right? Still getting used to this concept.

I did purchase and try Article Submitter. Never again! I thought it was limiting even for what I was doing and seemed my articles did not get to the sites, even the ones I submitted to manually before I purchased it when I tried this over 6 months ago. So I just stopped. It wouldn't let me update the database (kept saying error) and I tried to get support only to tell me that I would have uninstall and reinstall BUT would not get an answer when I told them be sure I don't get charged again. Big mess.

Anyhow, now I would like to try something free but effective so when I purchase something else I will at least know what I need and what I was missing! Please any good suggestions would be great and more than helpful to me. I seem to be going in circles. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

I haven't found a good article submitter.. not even a paid one that does what I need.

For your articles that aren't getting accepted , is your articles spammy in any way or filled with links?

The article directories that I'm using, and doing very well with are
    1) SmarticleDirecty.com
    2) EzineArticles.com
    3) ArticleMarketer.com

    I choose quality over quantity...

If you just use these three, your article will get indexed nicely.

That's what I have now but it is missing the majority of the ones I want to use. I sent in a ticket about updating the database and they basically asked my WHY I wanted to do that. HUH??? Several of the ones are no longer article directories so I am so frustrated! When I went back to some of the sites and went into my account, I didn't even see my article so not sure I trust it anymore. Plus the Rankings for Alexa and Google PR are WAY off. If you know a way around this stuff, PLEASE let me know.

I've recently started using Brad Callen's SEnuke Submitter. The jury is still out on how well it works. Lots of bugs in the process but still a lot easier than doing it manually. The support and manuals stink so you're pretty much on your own other than a couple of basic videos. Many of the processes are not covered at all and the website is lacking for more information.

That being said, it's still worth a look.

Is there one where (free or not) you can at least add new directories or keeps up with the rankings so that you can submit to the popular ones?
