It just hit me.. literally a few seconds ago...

MYSPACE.COM ?

its pr9 !

Would it be useful to get a backlink on it... i know the actual page we get the link on won't be page rank 9 but it will be indexed pretty fast.

Fail or no fail?

Goldmine? You're kidding, right? I'd say a link on any Warrior Forum thread would far outshine one on any page but MySpace's home page.

I read a group lead by Justin Timberlake bought MySpace and are trying to "relaunch" it. The article also mentioned it was going to be more focused on music and bands because facebook doesn't allow a lot of sample music and video uploads.

I don't think it's going to be the same "social network for everyone" that it used to be.

Correct, They bought it as a musical platform, not the Myspace we all remember. Even if you wanted to do it you'd have to fight through all of the spam. I remember when it was still semi-usable and I used it as a social media outlet for my site and I couldn't even log in after 5 attempts due to all of the spam and popups. Myspace is dead.

Even if you could get a link from Facebook it would be either be no follow or fed through a redirect that would strip all value.

    Definite FAIL.

This thread is the very reason some people fall for the site-wide PR scam, when buying links, they just don't understand what they are getting (or in this case, not getting).

No such thing as domain PR. PR relates only to pages. It just so happens that on most sites, it is the homepage with the highest PR.
