PPC is SOOOO Frustrating!!!

Why is PPC so Hard? I get no conversions from PPC...

Why is it when I advertise diet offers on POF I get good to great conversions (men). Yet POF is people looking to date not go on a diet or build muscle.

Yet when I try with PPC on sites that have to do with muscle/fitness and target keywords for muscle and fitness.. I get nothing... not even a sign up??

Can anyone give me any advice? What PPC networks are good for Diet Offers?

I would think POF would be great for diet offers. Obviously people on the dating scene see people out of their league theyd love to get with but are too out of shape to even attempt it. Seems perfectly relevant to the site imo.

I agree with you.. but I think targeting people looking to build muscle would have better results with PPC.. yes/no?

Personally I don't have very much clue of PPC but my logic sense tells me that it's hard to convert people in such niches, instead I think it should be more of a long term thing where you get people signed up with free offers and convert them later on with lists and special offers and such.

PPC is real tough btw, there are very few who make a real success out of it.

A man who's currently on a dating site is acutely aware of his physical appearance. Every profile he's looking at, each woman he desires and thinks about messaging to try to get a date, makes him think about how he looks and how she will judge him.

The married man who just got home from work, and wants to read a bit about body building or losing a few pounds and makes a Google search, is in no such state.

#1 is going to convert much better than #2 for a diet offer. Not surprising.

    Dan, I understand..
However if your looking to build muscle, you do have a vulnerability as well.. and I'm sure not all men who search "build muscle" are married.. Infact more would be single.. I dont know too many men that are married that still care what their body looks like... All my friends who are married let themselves go...

I would say the amount of men who want to build muscle just to build muscle is less than 1% of the population (no data to back that up). Most people building muscle and dieting are doing it to get laid, or because they are having mid-life crisis as a married man and want to be looked at by younger women the way they used to.

Being lazy and eating is the path of least resistance. Very few people want to build muscle and work super hard after a work day just to build muscle.

Not True.. The Diet/health industry is Billions and Billions of dollars.. Way more than 1%

Also, I have done many tests in POF.. the men with average and overweight body types get the lowest conversions... Highest conversions come from men with athletic bodies...

Not looking for a debate.. I asked what PPC networks were good with Diet offers.. and all I got was people telling me that POF is better.. Yes I know this as for now because I dont have PPC working for me.. I just want to make it work with diet offers..

Plus the advice isnt so great.. Telling me that guys dont want to build muscle anymore or less than 1% of the population cares about what they look like is just as frustrating because is so not true..

The diet and exercise industry is a billion dollar industry because people want to look good and be healthy. I have trainer friends that work for gyms that tell me the vast majority of people come in for less than a month stating they want to look better so they feel better about their appearance before they give up, hence path of least resistance. You want PPC networks good for converting we're telling you, dating sites. Did you ever think maybe your wording/ banner/ conversion wording campaign might be the fail point, and not the industry?

Again, not trying to argue or debate..
I agree with your trainer friends.. most people who get in, leave after a month.. but there are more people replacing them than leaving.. each year the health/fitness industry grows and grows.. no just by the millions but by the billions.. Think about it.. What is the biggest New Years resolution? Lose weight and/or get back into shape. People go through many diet phases throughout their life.. and its the new people that are replacing the one's that are leaving that I want...

I though about my campaign being the failing point.. however I tried to do my best copying other health products like mine that are doing well.. plus if my campaigns are doing good in dating, I at least thought I would get something in PPC..

Why do you think that diet and body shape are not related to dating ? or are people (men) happy to look like slobs when trying to pick up a date ?

Didn't say that, later in the post I agreed that it makes sense... and completely understand why. I said the main reason for dating site is to find a date and not lose weight, which is true..

My point was that I get better conversions from a site that had nothing to do with weightloss or fitness than a site with everything to do with diet/fitness..

Then I will say things another way for you, dating would have everything to do with weight loss and body shape. Men would not want to look like a slob when out hunting for a soul mate or a touchdown. last I looked slobs were bottom of the dating pecking order, want to date more women, loose weight look fit.

Thanks Tryinhere, but I have POF already mastered.. If you have advice on PPC advertising I would be most interested.

Do you know any dating sites that work with any PPC networks?

? your a confusing person you state that you can not understand why your ads are working on pof ?

I tried to explain that you are wrong and that dating has everything to do with weight loss, but you seem to be missing the wood for the trees.

Now you say you have the ads / pof worked out / I stands confused you either understand why or you do not, it can not be both.

I have done a lot of work with ppc and this also included dating yes, but it may be that you need to ask clearer questions as to exactly what it is your wanting. For me sorry for getting your question ? confused and best of luck moving forward with your project.

Think about how you would look for these products and what questions you might have about them. Then answer the questions and problems people are looking for solutions to.
THANK YOU!! This is what I was looking for.. I really appreciate your advice..
Hopefully I get other inputs (about PPC.. and not POF) as well
