People have told me that having a name registered for a longer period of time effects your page rank. Is that true? I have also heard that there are different types of registration and they also drive pagerank. Myth or fact?

    Total bullsh!t.

    Btw I think you misunderstood what people meant cause I've read these kind of things before and it was not about the pagerank, it was more about the trust factor that domains with a multiple year domain registration will rank easier. Still a myth imo but it's not like I can proof it.

    No, this isn't true. However, many SEO's speculate that there is some benefit to an aged domain.
