Is Penguin Refreshing Right Now?

I am seeing large changes in G right now.
And an 81 degrees in MozCast.com
Anyone else see it?

Is it a refresh/update?

I'm not seeing anything myself but my site tends to be stable. Google does seem to like running updates on holiday weekends, so you never know... ;-)

I've noticed the same thing. There's been a lot of shuffling around for the kws I track. Several competitors have completely disappeared and several less relevant sites have replaced them. I don't know if this is the beginning of the "jolting" penguin refresh or just a normal algo change.

All I can do is speculate.

Although... now that I think about it I should be seeing less traffic compared to last Sunday because of the holiday weekend. But I'm seeing the same amount.

  That's not quite necessarily true. A site can benefit from other sites being removed/demoted in the results. I build links properly (in that I don't build any at all). Traffic can increase/decrease depending on the season (and for lots of other factors, of course). But I usually see a marked increase in traffic with an update (particularly early Panda updates).

Something is going on and usually the only time I see increases like this is an update... So far with every update I have increased rather then decreased. I am hoping this is the update because I am making a ton today

  Mozcast is actually showing 83 degrees. I'm not seeing anything myself, but it is about time for a Penguin refresh. Nice sneaky time to do it too.

  I don't really follow all that stuff with sites because they will do what they do. I just keep marketing, building high PR relevant links and let them do what they want and hope for the best.
