I have been blogging for quite some time. Every time I publish a new post, I also bookmark it to top 8-10 social bookmarking sites. Just wanted to know how many bookmarking sites one need to publish post to get decent ranking.

    I do way more than that. Make sure you ATLEAST cover the main ones: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Reddit, etc. Then go after the rest.

    Social bookmarking is good for getting your articles indexed, but it doesn't do very much for getting them to rank high on Google. Try getting a greater variety of backlinks.

    Whenever I post a new article I usually send it 300+ social bookmarks within the first 24 hours

    Putting what ezzypro said behind it is possible to rank with Social Bookmarks and only Social Bookmarks. I'm not saying it's the easiest or best way just don't let him mislead you.

      There are hundreds of social bookmarking sites where you can share content. As others have said, you need more than that in order to increase your rankings. Link building, guest posting, and article marketing should be on your list.

      I think, you should use various link building tactics rather using only one ( social bookmarking ) to get higher SERP positioning and huge traffics. Also share it on social media sites because it also brings good effects for your website.

    Bookmarking has drastically died out compared to other strategies which you can be implementing. Seriously try it out and see for yourself start gathering up some back links from document sharing sites such as scribe instead of bookmarking and compare the results.

    I have 500 bookmarking sites list most of sites is not follow. So there no changes to get backlink form bookmarking sites. According to me bookmarking sites only useful in site indexing process and surly not help in get top ranking.
