Do you think a forum thread can rank for the term "Google Authorship SEO?" Please discuss.

Since a forum does not utilize Google Authorship, will Google allow a thread to rank ahead of sites that do use Google Authorship SEO? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Yes but why? Exact match gets less than 10 searches a month. Since no one presently cares the answer is sure.

A forum post can defiantly include authorship in the SERPs, I found a thread a while back in Google SERPs that had an author image in the SERPs for a WF forum thread.

I'll see If I can find it again, can't remember the thread title...

    [edit]
Can't remember the keyword, it does work though.

I'm seeing it in number 4 personalized and using a proxy. It looks like "SEO Mystery Men" still have a bit of fight left

Its seems like we have a very uncompetitive search

I will tell you, though, I'd still be more likely to click on your post. You're one handsome devil

            It seems logical:

            1) Authorship gives you more trust.
            2) Your picture makes it more likely people click (higher CTR)

So overall using Google Authorship should be an advantage. Plus, people are likely to add you to their Google Circles, which keeps boosting your authority.

I wonder how long Google will relay on domain authority like Warrior Forum has before they switch the system to 'real authority.'
