So I have a client who has many different businesses and many locations for each business. I got to work building their Google Plus account and adding the Google + business pages. I added 5 pages and processed them for verification. For whatever reason it will not allow me to create any more pages. Anyone able to shed some light as to why?

Is there any specific reason displayed or not??

Because I never get any difficulty on adding Google+ pages.

I think I have it figured out. Its seems that you can only add 5 business pages every 24 hours... Because when I logged in this evening it let me create pages. It is either that or the fact that I created and processed all five of them and it blocked me for 24 hours. I am about to find out for sure because I am getting ready to build more pages without sending for verification. So if it lets me build more than 5 pages it has something to do with processing the verification on the 5 pages... I will update in a few hours

So it seems that the reason why I could not create more than five pages in a 24 hour period was the fact that I processed them for verification as I created the page. So I guess you can only verify 5 new pages withing a 24 hour period:confused:

Interesting. Tell me what and how google+ is going to help a service business like mine? I am not really promoting it and most every client I have asked does not have an acct or care too. Seems there good with just Facebook.

Well Vivers... Im not sure what business you are in so I cannot answer that question. As far as your clients are concerned, they are not going to have much of a choice... With the new penguin update Google is really weighing heavily on social media activity when it comes to ranking so it only makes sense that they pay special attention to their own social media outlet Google+. Google+ is now starting the merge with Google Places so if your clients had a google places listing in the past they need to merge that listing with a Google+ Local business listing. As a marketer I am starting to dictate what my clients are doing. Meaning I am no longer going to take clients that tell me they are not interested in certain vital aspects of a successful online marketing campaign. I am basically telling my clients what it takes to be successful in establishing an internet presence designed for growth and if they are not willing to participate in all aspects of that design then they are not the right client for my business. I have had clients in the past that have told me they want to become more visible in the search engines and expand their overall web presence but they are unwilling to create content or pay to have it written, or they are unwilling to participate in social media, etc... unfortunately my results and success rate depend largely and are dictated by certain methods that are crucial to developing a successful strategy and my results suffer due to their lack of participation. Hope this helps.

Thought I'd chime in... the merge isn't for everyone, neither is it automatic at this point. You have to manually merge, and again... it isn't available for every business yet.

The feeling you'll find among G+ Local experts is that the merging is way too beta right now, and I'm suggesting that my clients refrain from merging the G+Local listing with their G+ Business Page for now. There are just too many issues - lost reviews, duplicate listings, etc.

I DO agree that every offliner needs to have a G+ Profile, Page and Local listing when possible, though. There's just too much weight placed on it all with local ranking to avoid.

Agreed... However this client only had 2 G places listings out of 24 different locations for their business... So should I wait to verify their G+ listings? I certainly dont want to do anything to jeopardize these listing as localizations and local content are very important to their business

At this point I have created G+ Local pages for all of the agencies they have. I have only submitted verification for 5 of them so far so should I wait to submit the rest and if so how long? Im sure thats not a fair question..haha!

No, definitely get these locations created asap.

    Here's what I would do:

I would make sure that their main website has a single page dedicated to giving key information about a particular location. So in total they would have 24 pages with the following:

    -Business name, address, phone number.
    -Map with directions link.
    -hours of operation
    -payment methods
-contact email / form (these can go to a central email or to an email to the particular location manager)
-links to the other location pages.

Finish all 24 of those pages, THEN, search online for any existing listing for that location. If you can't find any... go to

    https://accounts.google.com/ServiceL...Fservice%3Dlbc

sign in and search for the location's phone number to make a final check for the listing and claim it / or to create a fresh one.

I would go so far as to enter the location specific page on your website in the URL field, too.

Again... don't verify listings through the G+ Business Page system. Do it the old-fashioned way lol

BUT... If you've already created G+ Local listings for the locations, then you should go ahead with the verification as you can.
