Relevancy + Authority + Reputation (Backlinks) = Traffic???

Greetings fellow Warriors!

I recently came up with a crazy idea (after doing a lot of research and "detective work", and figuring out what sites that rank on page one in Google seem to have in common).

The idea basically goes like this:

Relevancy
(Exact Match domain if possible) + titles matching content matching the domain

Authority
(Sites like StevePavlina.com that show "expertise")

and

Reputation
(Backlinks counting as "votes of confidence" in a site)

combine together to convince Google that a website can be trusted to deliver value (and be a good match) to Google's search users.

In general

Microniche sites might get "ranking points" as follows --> high relevancy, low/medium authority, and low backlinks.

Authority sites might get "ranking points" as follows --> low/medium relevancy, high authority, medium/high backlinks.

I think if you can get medium/high relevancy + medium/high authority + medium/high reputation than you've hit the Google Trust Goldmine.

But how can you get an authority site to stay relevant and how can you get a niche site a good reputation?

Basically how can you strengthen each site type's weaknesses without losing the strengths it already posseses?

(Niche sites are focused and fine tuned...adding lots of content to them might make them lose relevancy even though they gain authority).

Feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks for your time.
