Down in the dumps, thank goodness for adsense

Well I have been having a lot of personal issues lately and to make matters worse last week I lost my job. almost 6 years of back breaking work and I get up one morning last week with all my passwords changed and an email with the title terminated. No warnings, no signs, nothing. What a gut wrenching feeling man. All I can say is thank goodness for adsense, I will be receiving a check for 10k this month from adsense, without it I would be in a lot of doo doo. This is no longer a hobby for me, its my life line.

My regular job was a full time php developer, I created from the ground up all by myself a platform for geo domains that is considered the top in its industry. I was tasked to do alone what a team of developers would consider tough to do. I made the company a lot of money, I guess you can say Im bitter but only because I did so much and to lose my job that way :sigh:. Ok getting off topic, thank you adsense. I hope to continue this success for a long time. Im so tired of working for the man and making pennies why they make dollars.

On and I had my best day ever last week, I made almost $600 for the day. It was a great feeling!

Yeah its funny how this all came about, I wasnt even thinking adsense when I created my first site. But I noticed my first site getting traffic over time, thought about monetizing it, saw adsense, added it to the sites and though it took 6 months before I made my first $100 I just keep reading up and learning more and more about SEO and Adsense. The rest is history. Now if I can just figure out Amazon I could be in a good place.

I'm always trying to leaern SEO but the trouble is just when you think you have mastered it then things change and what you used to do may not work any more. Weird thing is some sites you can work really hard on and get nothing back and other sites can just appear at the top of the search engines with little effort and you wonder how the hell that happened?

Yeah to be honest I think it was more luck for me than a certain strategy. I stumbled across some success and concentrated on that part and continued to increase my knowledge to a point where now Im seeing a lot of success. But like you said, its an ever changing thing. When Google comes out with their next updates I could lose everything.
