Google Alerts literally has unlimited amounts of uses, but I wanted to share with you how you can use Google Alerts to determine exactly what 'high quality' content is.

When you setup a Google alert you can choose to receive 'Only the best results' or to receive 'All results'

This is in essence a 'high quality' content filter by Google themselves.

Here is how to set it up-

1) Create 1 Google Alert for site:yourdomain.com and choose to receive 'Only the best results'
2) Setup another Google Alert for site:yourdomain.com but this time choose to receive 'All results'

Thats it!

Now each time you publish a new piece of content on your site you will ever get an Alert to tell you it is considered as a 'best result'/high quality or if Google has just thrown it in the everything else/all results pile.

Pretty clever huh?
