Just last month the page rank of my sub pages had updated from PR 2 to PR 3 but Home Page is just the same..

Orangecopper always predict next google PR update. They're not always right, but it's a good reference. Right now they predict the next one for November.
But like Alina pointed it, Google is always secretive about it.

There was absolutely a PR Update last month, I saw it on over 20 websites/Web 2.0's that I was creating. So if it's around every 3 months I would expect November

I read the next update is Oct - Nov area, but that is merely speculation as its not an exact schedule.

  The next update will be in the beginning of November. The previous one was in the beginning of August. The periods in between should be around three months.

I make you sure of one thing:

Google won't show you the real page ranks they use in their system, much like
the same way they won't show you the real number of backlinks you have in
webmaster tools.

Why do you exepct they show you real numbers while the only thing they
strive to show correctly is the search results and nothing much inbetween.

  That tool is totally useless. I tested it with my two PR2 domains that I haven't built links for a long time and it said actual page rank for these domains is well over 5. Yeah right...

All the updates going on at Google are simply designed to distract webmasters from Google's takeover of organic search. Yup, you can't sell links or have too many ads above the fold but Google can do all of the above. It's a double standard that only a monopoly can get away with.

a pr update usually takes from 2-3 months. hope a new one will roll out on November, with the latest algorithm updates from google, I think it's high time they started rolling out new pr distributions as well.

  Last update was at end of july. Google will update next PR in November. So many websites get the blasts in last month cause of updation of three(Panda, EMD, Penguin) algorithms in short time. Now they will give another PR blast in next month.

The probable date for next PR update is the first week of November, if everything goes well! Anyway ultimately its Google who will decide the final date.

Yeah it happened last month and happens in every 2-3 months. So we are hoping the next PR update in mid December.

I think its going to update on first week of november (maybe tomorrow, who knows?).

Even if many people doesnt think PR matters on questions of positions anymore, its always a good thing to see your page rank improve. It encourages us to proceed and keep working.

I personally think that if google stop counting PR for SERPS they would just stop updating the page rank or finish it. Of course its not the unique metric to calculate positions on search engine, its the result of many things.

Anyway, there is no exact time of page rank update, according to algorithm of Google, we can't know where is the next pr update, but generally 3 months may take.
