I have been looking for other ppc sites to replace Google Adsense. I found a site called Chitika, I have read a few articles saying that it's the next best thing for banner text ads. So right now I have on one of my niche sites lots of impression but no clicks-throughs. Does anyone know the click through rate for Chitika? And does any have advise to maximize profits with it?

Some of my friends have used Chitika with great success in the past. Any conversion 'tip' that is good for AdSense is good for this one also.

Another good alternative is adBrite, they offer a quality support system with any issues you might have.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

Not yet, but I'm curious to try it as replacement for adsense. I know some people who have had success on it.

    Hi Isaiah,

Does Chitika allow you to target specific sites with your ads?

It automatically uses keywords on your site/page for it's ads. Then it starts using related ads over time. You can't really chose the ads. it up to what you have on your site.

I used it for a while, there are only certain keywords that actually pay well. So I had to make sure to only use these if you dont its pretty useless...adsense will never be replaced

Here are some top paying keywords

      Remodeling
      Legal Services
      Handyman Repairs
      Travel
      Car Repair
      Insurance
      Community Services
      Employment
      Moving Services
      Shopping Centers
      Home Health Care
      Wellness

There Are better services out there you just have to find them, adbrite has been mentioned, however Pay per impression pretty much was a no go for me

      good luck

Well, I was going to take a look at it and then saw this on their website...

"Currently, to be an advertiser on the Chitika ad network, you must be willing to commit to a $50,000 monthly advertising spend. This includes Chitika mobile ads."

    Allrighty then...next ad network please!
