Thanks for trying, but this is useless. You can't get a permanent link on the front page of any of these sites, so why does it matter what the PageRank of their homepage is?

Sites don't have PageRank, pages do. A new WordPress blog has 0 PR. A new Hubpages page has 0 PR. A new Tumblr blog has 0 PR. Same for everything else in the list.

Its not useless. PR is flowing. You just need to build link juice to these web 2.0 sites, but it will take time

To get them working, build backlinks for your Web 2.0 sites first and then link back to your main site from these. If you manage to do it, Web 2.0s are great, otherwise you will only waste your time without achieving anything.

As someone purporting to sell SEO services, you should know better. Sites don't have PR.

    PR is an overrated word.

When people see PR they want their link on the actual "pagerank" page. Not the inner PR0 page. Of course the inner PR0 page can get pagerank if you build links to it, but if you are going to go through all the trouble, why not just go with a press release site that gets traffic?

I wish people would promote "pagerank" properly. "page" + "rank" means more if your link is going on the actual "pagerank" page...

But writing squidoo articles and getting to the 3rd page after 3 months is legit SEO.

The reason web 2.0 sites (and I'll add social networking in there too) are so important now post-panda is because google wants to see that your brand is what I call "participating."

So, for seo, that means we now have to manage 1) on-page seo (less meta tags and more focus on content quality), 2) off-page seo with ongoing link building (less important but still needed), and 3) participation (the more you do, the higher the positions for you!)

Using web 2.0 sites to promote your main core website simply tells google you are participating...so go pick, like, 20 of those web 2.0 sites and start participating.

That's a good list with some I have never seen before.

When you create a new page on one of these sites, you are going to start out with a PR0. But PR isn't everything in the scope of things.

These sites are authority sites, plus you may sometimes benefit from the inner link juice structure.

Also, don't forget folks, the trick is to beef up each of these pages with their own back links. Many people don't like to do this because it's extra work, but completely worth it and helps search engines find the pages anyway.

The person who puts in the effort will have better rankings.

You dont have to worry about PR0. if the content is interesting people will view it and the traffic will increase hence hiking the PR.
    Great list.Thanks for sharing.

Whether you place link on PR4 site or PR8 it only depends on the work you are doing to get and maintain the authority you will get once you get the best results.
