New type of penalty released by GOOGLE. Please Contribute!

Hi,
About 1 month ago Google released a new algorithm.
Let me explain:
I have a website that rank in first page with more then 17 keywords.
The next step that i do i check my backlinks and i found that i have a site wide link to a site and come to me more then 300 backlinks. I remove that link and i change the anchors text for other links that point to my site.
After one week i succeed to recover 3 keywords but today that keywords disappear again EXCEPT my main keyword that remain in #2 position
I do SEO for many years and still don't understand this. I watch this forum and i sow that other webmasters fact with this type of penalty.
I ask those webmasters that have the same issue to post here how they recover.

- the site was not made for adsense because i don't use adsense.
- the site has 6 month old
- the site has very strong and trust links to him (many PR8, 7, 6, gov, edu, etc)
- all content are unique
