Everyone always want the tools but don't want to pay for the value they provide.

Here is what is considered one of the best email marketing tools:
Follow Up Autoresponder and Mailing List Software - AutoResponse Plus

Not an affiliate link and not free.

If you want a free one, Majordomo is one that has been around for some time now and is as old as the hills.

PHPList is a decent mailing tool that is available for free. A nice paid email marketing software that I've used is Interspire Email Marketer, it has quite a bit of features that are essential for email marketing, including an autoresponder system, managing click tracking etc.

I personally use Interspire email marketer, coupled with an "SMTP" server from smtp.com.
and have found this to work very well, for me and my clients.

There is no monthly charge once you own the software. i just pay smtp.com by the amount of emails i want to send. From what i have seen of the free ones there is not much in the way of tracking, opens and links etc.

    Just my two cents worth
    Mark.

Btw, is there any free email marketing with limited or trail version, I would like to try it out before spending money.

    Thanks!

Personally tried CampaignCommander - good in terms of delivery rates (if this matters), and generally serves its purpose. Provides integration with Google Analytics. Limited/poor internal stats. Limited support.

Tried Pure360 (as a trial version) and have good reviews from people who used it in the past. Great in sales and presumably support. Provide very detailed reports & open to any integration (from GA to CRM and custom systems).

Both systems are charging you basing on the number of emails you send out, so you can always make a trial mailing for a relatively small fee.

    Hope this helps

Irving: I haven't tried phplist yet, maybe I will. I have tried Infinity Responder, free easy to install, gives you the implementation code.

Regan: Getresponses gives you a limited list to try out with (10 members or so).. so you may want to give it a try

In the last 8 years i have used about 5 mailing softwares. Someone above also mentioned Interspire's Email Marketer. I would HIGHLY suggest this software before any others, hands down.
