Unregistered Domains with High Pr Backlinks

I have a list of domains with backlinks as high as pr 5 which are currently unregistered (i.e you can register them at any registrar for $10 or less).

I am just wondering would these domains still have any benefits? most of the backlinks I am seeing are from edu sites and archive pages where these links are never going to be taken down from, I am just wondering if the links will still count since these sites have been dropped some of them for some months now.

An example is loudmouthmovie.com (which has 1 pr 5, 2 pr 3, 2 pr 2 and 1 pr 1 backlink according to Seo Spyglass) it is currently free to register but looks like a trademarked name so I wouldn't recommend anyone touch it, most of the names I have are not trademarked though just using this one as example.

      Well if they are likely to gain Pr, I would use them to link to my money sites depending on how high the pr goes up too and maybe sell some of them

    The best way to get high PR cheap would be to use specialised software that checks everything.

    I heard of guys getting PR5 from Godaddy Auctions for under $15 - That's a steal !

    Yes, they will have a benefit especially if the backlinks are contextual and deep in the site! If the domin is dropped that isn't a problem but if the backlinks drop then that's a problem
